The Chatham County Human Resources Department is a vital and valued partner in the accomplishment of Chatham County’s strategic objectives, and essential in the recruitment, training and development, performance management, pay and benefits administration, and reward and recognition of Chatham County team members.

Our goal is to be a strategic and supportive partner with County departments by assisting them in their mission of providing quality services to the citizens of Chatham County.

We provide the full range of employment services for 34 departments covering 1600 employees as well as benefits administration services to over 550 retirees and their dependants.

We are staffed by 13 team members who are trained and responsible for the strategic planning to put the right people, in the right place, at the right time, with the right attitude to meet the needs of Chatham County.

Our team members continually strive to enhance their professionalism and competence such that the vast majority of us hold national or state certifications in Human Resources Management from such noted associations as the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI), the International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA-HR), and the Georgia Local Government Personnel Association (GLGPA).
